All of our apprenticeships require classroom sessions that shall be delivered at one of our Training Centres.

The Intermediate apprenticeship may take up to 18 months to complete and the advanced apprenticeship may take up to 24 months to complete. Both levels of apprenticeship include classroom and practical learning and various forms of assessment.

You can expect to work and train in all types of weather, and also be expected to do physical tasks, such as heavy lifting which is a big requirement of most jobs when working on the railway.


Requirements & Expectations

  • You must be between the ages of 16 - 25
  • We require you to have level 1 or equivalent in maths and english
  • You must be capable of making your own way to the training centres
  • It is expected that applicants shall have or achieve the relevent level of maths and english.
  • Applicants must be prepared to undertake a medical and a drugs and alcohol screening.
  • Applicants should be prepared to travel nation wide. (supported by employer)
